The Following message occurs on startup although I do not have a Comm Add-In
with this address (as far as I know)
'The Add-in "C:\Windows\system32\ActExt.dll" cannot be loaded and has been
disabled by Outlook. Please contact the Add-in manufacturer for an update, If
no update is available, please uninstall the Add-in'

Hi Jerry,

Are you using a copy of Act! software? That's one of their files.
If I recall Act! may not be supported in Office 2007.

I'm not sure if the process for fixing it in Outlook 2007 would be the same as in Outlook 2000.

You may want to use the link below to also post this to the Outlook newsgroup.

Hello Bob,
I did give Act a try last year, however, I uninstalled this program.
I looked in the Windows\System32 folder and no file named ActExt.dll exists.
What is the fix for Outlook 2000? Am willing to give it a go.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,

The fix for the Outlook 2000 version was in the MS Knowledge Base article link I posted in the previous message. Let's see...

Here it is.

Bob,
I found it: From the Outlook Toolbar-
Tools, Trust Center, Add-Ins, Manage (at the bottom of the page) select
Exchange Client Extensions from the drop down, Go, and wahla.....there it is.
Deselected and all is well....
Thank you for your responses. Possibly this will help others with similiar
Add-In problems.
