Error Message Opening Database

I am trying to open an access database and get the
following error message

"The instruction at "0x6502c3cd" referenced meomory
at "0x00000014". The memory could not be "read".

I have seen article 302485 refering to this error message
in regards to printing from a database, but this is just
trying to open the datbase.
