Error Message:Outlook has stopped working

Occasionally and almost randomly, when I close Outlook 2007 using Vista, the
following error message appears:

"Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Close
Program. "

I close the program (either by clicking on the error message or using the
task manager) and all works well the next time I open OUtlook. Running
scanpst.exe reports no file errors. It is merely a nuisance rather than
critical for the application always opens and operates as expected.

My Outlook does the same thing - Vista & Office 2000 loaded. No warning & no
rhyme or reason - just a message & then it's gone.

Does it work if you run it in safe mode?

Start > Run > outlook.exe /safe

Outlook 2000 on Vista is not recommended, that O/S is meant to run Office
2003 or higher.
