Error Message Question

The following message displays on occasion when we open a project: Your
Project Server's tracking setting was changed since you last saved this
project. To prevent the potential loss of actuals in you project, you
should avoid saving this project to Project Server. Contact your server
administrator to update Project Server with the actuals recorded in
your project.

What causes this message to display and how can it be prevented?

This error was caused by the Project Server administrator changing your
organization's default method of tracking progress. He/she should not have
done so without first notifying all project managers. To respond to this
situation, you will need to open each project you manage, click
Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments, and then click OK. Doing so
will "push" the new method of tracking to each user's timesheet in PWA.

Also, in the future, please post your Project Server questions to the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is closing
down. Hope this helps.
