"Error Message: There Were Compilation Errors During the Conversion..."

I am getting the following error when converting SOME
databases from '97 to 2002:

"There Were Compilation Errors During the Conversion or
Enabling of This Database"

When I search the knowledge base, I get an
interesting "hit":

NOTE: Microsoft Office XP has built-in functionality that
allows you to get more information about difficult-to-
troubleshoot alerts or error messages. If you want to turn
on this functionality for this and other error messages in
Microsoft Office XP, download the Office XP Add-in:
Extended Alerts Button file from the following Microsoft

HOWEVER, when I click the link, the message that comes up
says that no such download is available. Can someone
please tell me what's up with that?

That particular download is available for Office 2000 (see
link below, pardon the multi-line link, not sure why you
got it for Office XP.
