I'm unable to use MS Office help online or follow internet links in Word
documents, but everything else about my internet works great. I've looked
all over for information on how to fix this - I've read almost all the
newsgroup threads, checked the help website, etc., so I hope someone here
can help me!
In word, when I click on a web address with a hyperlink, I receive the
message: "Unable to open [website]. Cannot locate the Internet server or
proxy server." Then, when I hit F1 (Help), and search for a phrase, I get a
list of offline help topics, with an error that says, "Unable to connect to
Microsoft Office Online." If I click on any of the listed results, I get a
window with a large red "X" button that says, "Error Starting MS Help."
(I CAN, however, click on "Connect to Microsoft Office Online" in the
"Getting Started" window, and Internet Explorer opens up the page just
fine.)
I've already run detect and repair several times, but it has not fixed the
problem.
Please help!
