error message when copying voice recordings from pocketpc

I receive the following error message when I attempt to copy voice recordings
from my iPAQ 3670 to OneNote 2003 SP1

"One note could not copy "filename" from your device. There was an error in
the conversion process."

I couldn't find any mention of this error in this discussion group or in the
help. Can someone point me to some troubleshooting information about this
error?

I've personally not seen that error nor had any issues copying audio notes
from my IPaq...

Do you have the latest version of ActiveSync? Do you have any other issues
copying Outlook (text-only) Notes from the IPaq into OneNote?

Can you use Explorer to navigate to the recording file on the IPaq? It's
usually in a path similar to Device/My Documents. Can you copy the file to
your desktop using Explorer and have it play without problems? (I'm trying
to narrow down whether the file is corrupt or if there are ActiveSync
problems or if it's a OneNote issue).

You could also try a Detect and Repair from the Help menu in OneNote.
