Error Message When Deleting

I've had Office 2000 Standard installed for a while but
haven't used Outlook. I'm switching from Outlook Express
to Outlook.

I've moved my mail and contacts over and everything looks
good. I can send and receive e-mail. The problem I'm
having is when I try to delete e-mail, I get the following
error message: "The message interface has returned an
unknown error. If the problem persists, please restart
Outlook."

I've restarted Outlook, rebooted the computer and
performed a repair with the original install disk.

Any suggestions?
