Error message when I use the search function

My search function was working fine, now all of a sudden it is not. I receive
the following message when I try to search my site: Error from search:
2can't open the inverted index file
/nfs/cust/9/48/48/584849/web/_vti_txt/default.wti/All.inv

I have tried taking the page off the site and reposting, re-inserting the
search component. Nothing works. Any suggestions for someone who is not
website design saavy?

It may be related but I also cannot sychronize my site. I receive this
message: Server error: the page index.html has been modified by (unknown)
on 26 April 2006 13:07:53 -0400
