Hi There
I am wondering if someone can help me. I am a relative newbie to vbscripting
and in particular Outlook vbscripts.
I have been trying to create a script that takes a copy of a general PRF
file, checks for a specific default profile and if it’s not found then it
deletes all Outlook profiles which are already set up for this user and tries
to import it into Outlook on the first time Outlook opens. The reason I am
doing this is to try and get Outlook working for users that roam between
sites.
My script seems to work as it copies the copied PRF file to the user’s home
folder, deletes all the profiles and then modifies the registry and tells it
to import the PRF file the next time Outlook is run etc. However on occasions
this process gives up an error when the user logs in and tries to open
Outlook, the error is "Cannot start Microsoft outlook. Unable to open the
outlook window. The server is not available....." and I am unsure why this is
happening because sometimes the script runs perfectly. Can anyone shed some
light onto this for me because I am starting to pull my hair out?
Thanks very much
Alistair
