error message when starting outlook

Hi,
I had office XP and outlook was not working, I did not have the disks to
reinstall or repair, so I had to install Office 2000 Pro. It picked up all my
stuff in previous versions of outlook. I ran the updates from Microsofts
websit. Now when I start Outlook it opens up gets my new emails then
immediately gives me a message saying Microsoft Outlook has encountered a
problem and needs to close and shuts the program. I have tried repairing it
with the disk but nothing works and Outlook will not stay open long enough to
allow me to do anything. Help

You should post the problems to an Outlook newsgroup, Sal. This newsgroup
supports the OneNote program, not Outlook.

Two ideas:

1. Create a new Outlook profile.

2. Post in one of the Outlook newsgroups.
