Error message whentrying to save Calendar appointment in Outlook 2

Hello all,

I have a user - Windows XP SP2, Outlook 2003 SP3 (connecting via Exchange),
that receives an error message when attempting to "Save and Close" a Calendar
event/appointment. They receive the following error:

"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook."

I have conducted research on this issue, and none of the errors typically
related to this issue are specific to my issue. The user is not attempting
to printer, nor is this related to any messages in his Inbox or Deleted
items.

I have attempted an Outlook repair, as well as using scanpst.exe, but this
did not resolve the issue. I also started Outlook in safe mode, but the
issue persisted as well. His .pst isn't of a very large size, and he is not
experiencing any problems in any other areas of Outlook.

Does anyone have any suggestions as a resolution?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried clearing the forms cache? Tools->Options->Other->Advanced->Custom Forms->Manage forms.
