Is this a legal copy of Office? I could be mistaken, but I am pretty sure
that patch_cab is not part of the original Office installation. The warning
message could suggest a failed update. Try removing any temporary
installation files from the user temp folder identified at
http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm then repair Word from
the original installation disc and/or roll back Windows to a point before
the error began to occur, to fix the registry.
