Error Message: You need Internet Explorer 4.01 or later to

Is there anyone that can help.
Whenever I want to start Outlook 2003 I get an error message that I need
Internet Explorer 4.01 or later to use this feature.
When i look at my IE revision it shows me that I´m running
Version 3.00.0000.0000.xpsp2.050302-1526.
The program worked perfectly before until I did a IE update.
Windows version is: Version 5.1 5 (Buildt 2600.xpsp2.050301-1526: Service
Pack 1)
Tried to re-install IE, but it tells me that I´m already running a later
version than the one on the MS webpage.
