I was successfully using Outlook 97 on Win2KP then
installed the Office Update SR-2 for Office 97 on Windows
200 Professional SP4. Upon attempting to retrieve my e-
mail I received an error message that "...could not locate
MTA.."
So after a lot of web searching I decided to re-install
Outlook 97 and apply all the patches (which I keep on my
computer - just for these 'occasions'). I still got the
same error message. So I re-installed Win2KP SP4 thinking
that one of the .dll's was bad. Now I get the following
error message upon trying to open Outlook:
"The ordinal 36 could not be located in the dynamic link
library MAPI32.dll"
When I tried to open Act! 2000 it fails too, with an error
message:
"The ordinal 23 could not be located in the dynamic link
library MAPI32.dll"
I uninstalled Act! and reinstalled again with the same
results (re-installation included all update patches).
Where do I go from here?
Thanks!
