Error message

When starting WORD 2002, which was pre-installed on the
computer, I get an error message WORD has encountered a
problem. It then sends a message to Microsoft and opens
up in "Safe mode". I have followed instructions and
downloaded and installed Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. I
use XP (home) as the OS. However despite the download the
same error message appears and operation in safe mode is
only allowed. Any ideas on how to get back to normal!

Did you read the entire article? There are quite a few more suggestions than
that.
