Error Message

My name is Dwain, I'm a helpdesk support tech for DOL/BLS. A customer informed me that he received an attachment in Outlook, which is a word document, that has pie charts included. The charts are not being displayed when opens the attachment. He receives the following error message: Objects in this document contain link to files that cannot be found. The link information will not be updated. When he forwards the email and all charts are displayed without any problems. The user is using the following versions of Outlook 2002 SP-2 10.4219.4219/ Word 2002 SP-2 10.4219.4219, I was trying to determine the what would cause this error. I talked with the original author of the document, and she had no problem with the application.

Try checking tools/options/view tab, and make sure picture placeholders
is not checked. this should bring back the picture. Since the picture
was linked to another file, and he does not have the source file, he
will be unable to update links.

if you do not need to update link, you can go to edit/link/and choose
the links and break. or you can copy the picture, then paste special as
picture, then delete the original one with links.
