Error Message

I have form letters in word and use information from an excel data sheet for merging.
Lately every time I try to bring up the data base for the word document I get an error
message "Word could not establish a DDE connection to mircrosoft excel to complete the
task

Which version of Word?

Try searching the Knowledge Base at microsoft.com on the error message. You should get a
number of "hits", including one for the version of Word you have.
