I've been receiving the following message for MONTHS when trying to check
for updates. "The Office Update Catalog cannot be displayed. The Office
Update site is currently experiencing some technical difficulties and is
unable to check for updates"

This has been the same for literally months. When searching for updates
available, there are two pages worth dating back from early 2004. When
requesting to download any of these updates, it suggests I use the program to
check to see if the updates are needed by my system, then I continue to get
the above message?????

OFF2000: Error Message: "The Catalog Cannot Be Displayed" When You Try to
Update Office:

If that fails, as a last resort, run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
to remove the Installer registry entries for Office, and then re-install
Office, and run the Office Update again.
