Hi John,

What are you doing when you receive this error message? Are you just opening
an Office application? Do you get the same error message no matter which
application you open (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access or Outlook)? If you are
just getting this error message with a particular program, then I suggest
posting to a newsgroup that deals with that software application. If your
error message is encountered when working with Access, then please post back
with the *exact* error message, copied word for word exactly as it appears.
Include details as to what you were doing at the time you received the error.

Hi Tom
Thank yopu for the responce. I've got Access XP runtime
that I'm loading onto several pc's and its packaged by
Office XP developer. The runtime setup files sit on a
network drive and is working fine on 6 pc's. We buy 2 new
pc's and try to install runtime setup and it fails. The
error message is "The Office System Pack cannot be
installed on this system because the lannguage s are not
the same. Install the Office system Pack for the
appropiate language on your computer". The languages are
the same. Initially the developer computer had XP sp1 and
the new computer had XP sp2. I've upgrade the sp1 machine
to sp2 but still have the problem.

Hi John,
The languages are the same.

Check your regional settings to make sure that they are *exactly* the same.
For example, if the development computer has English-US and the target
computer has English-Canada, it may not be so obvious that the settings are
different.

You might also want to verify that the two new computers have the same
version of MDAC installed:

Sorry. This is a newsgroup dedicated to questions about Access, the
database program in Office Professional. It appears your question may not
be related to these subjects. The Microsoft help system is not all that
clear and may have misdirected you here.

It is best to ask your questions in a newsgroup dedicated to the
subject of your question. You should find people better able to address
your problem there.

Note: It is always best to indicate the name and version of any
program(s) you may be using when asking a question and also indicate the
operating system (like Windows XP or 98) when you ask a question.
