error messages?

trying to publish frontpage web after making corrections to a page; kept
getting error message:
500 ORT not understood 500 LPRT not understood

using a document someone had sent me, i copied and pasted the relavent
portions of said doucument into my page. tried to publish twice, got error
message; clicked on synchroinize and then published; got stuff =about
overwriting, which i did, and page finally published.
what does this error message mean? (so it won't happen again)
it looks like some sort of printer code to me.

A 500 error "normally" indicates a permissions error on the server.
Have your host check permission settings, and / or check to ensure the
server is FTP capable.

actually, i found an answer to this question by "you" in the old archives
after doing a google search.
the answer to the question was try again. and on the third try everything
was fine- i believe the pronlem was on the receiving end- not mine.
