Error Messages

Mark

Everytime I exit an office program I get an error that
says: Compile error in hidden module: AutoExit
I can't get it to stop doing this. I reinstalled office
and anything else I could think of. The only thing I can
come up with is I installed Visual Studio .NET 2003 and
ever since then I get these messages. I have office XP
and would appriciate some insight on how to fix this
problem other than uninstalling Visual Studio.
Thanks

Hi Mark,

Does this happen on all Office applications or is it specific to one
or two Office apps? The steps you need to take to correct the error
depends on the application you are using when you encounter the error.

This happended to me as well. It only happens to me on
the startup of Word and Excel. Actually the dialog box is
titled MS Visual basic. On exit from Excel I get -
Compile error in hidden module: DISTMON. I also have
repaired and reistalled (clean) Office XP wit the same
error message. Any ideas? Thanks. Jack.

Hi Jack,

The error you are encountering is caused by the Adobe PDFMaker add-in.
For Excel locate your XLStart folder and move the template out of the
folder. For Word it will located in the Office\Startup folder.
