Error modifying .msp in Office 2007 OCT

B

Brian

Hello,

I have a msp created for an Office 2007 Pro Plus deployment that I am trying
to modify. I receive the following error message when saving.

----
Unhandled Exception

attempting to get file size for file that doesn't exist.
----

The .msp does not contain any additional files or chained installation.

What's causing the error to occur? Can this be corrected? Should i recreate
it from scratch? Would this effect existing machines that are using this file
for Sourcelist?

Any help is appreciated

Hi Brian,

Do you get the same error in creating a new .MSP file?
Are you saving the .MSP to a local folder or one on the network server?
What version of Windows are you working in?

Hi Bob,

I do not receive the error when i create a new .msp file. The new .msp did
not have all settings of the original .msp file. The .msp file are saved to a
network share. I am working in Windows XP SP2/Vista Business x32\x64.

Peter,
Wondering if you ever found a resolution to this error in OCT?
Ive been working with an .msp also and when attempting to make changes to paths of PST's in the "add accounts" section, I get this error upon saving of the MSP.

if you did resolve this, please email me: (e-mail address removed)

much appreciated..

Same error, same message.
The error occurs when the path to the PRF (Outlook-Profile) isn't
available (e.g. networkshare).
Just give the right path for the PRF-File and you can save the MSP.
