error msg 1706 dell computer office 2007

Somehow my Microsoft office got deleted off of my computer along with alot of
my operating system. I got the operating system CD and reinstalled no
problem. Now my microsoft office keeps giving me the error 1706 message. The
instruction to go to the run menu and type that address in that start with
"new ...." does not work. what else can i do?
