error msg 1706

Hi all - I tried to load a program
called 'Address Grabber' from my laptop to my desk top
(via ZIP disk.)

I have a Dell w/Windows XP Pro and MS Office 2003.

Each time I boot-up and try to access Outlook or Internet
Explorer (or virtually anything else) I get a series of
messages that indicate the computer is 'Trying to load ,,,
MS Office 2003." Then it asks for the MS Office 2003
disk - which I tried and it didn't accept it -- and THEN
it goes into the whole ERROR #1706 thing -- and just keeps
churning-away trying to load something.

I don't want A N Y T H I N G loaded.

I deleted all the 'Address Grabber files that I brought-
over, I think. And since I no longer have any of these
files, I can't use the 'ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS' function of
the computer, since I can't find any more Address Grabber'
files.

I can 'cancel-out' these messages - but what a pain. How
do I get this thing out of my life?
