Error no. 5 and Replace-function in Access 2000 on win 98

I have developed som VBA-functions using the Replace-
function in Access 2000. The application was tested and
now work fine on winXP and win2000, but on win98 it halts
on the replace-function and give error number 5 - invalid
procedure call.......

A tip made me install the Jet40 servicepack80. It helped
for one day, but now the problem i back again.
What should I do?

Also, make sure you've installed Office 2000's Service Pack 3.
