Error: Notification Application canceled logout

When i attempt to restart/shut down/logout my computer, i frequently
get a message that tells me "Notification Application canceled
logout". I believe this is related to Entourage. Other than that i
don't know where to begin tackling this problem. I'm running OSX
10.2.8 and entourage 10.1.4. Any thoughts will greatly be
appreciated.
