Error on close

When ever I close Word, I get an error beep. Its not the end of the
world, its just annoying.

I also get a beep if I have no documents open and I run my mouse over
the Insert menu.

Is there a log kept of MS Word errors?

Few things I forgot:

Word XP

I've tried recreating the Normal.dot file...no help
I've tried doing winword /a, also no help.

If Word is opening, running, and closing correctly and all you are
encountering is a beep then the typical troubleshooting process
doesn't necessarily apply.

Additionally, all "beeps" and the reason behind the "beeps" are not
logged. FWIW I notice an occasionally odd beep but I chalk it up to an
oddity and leave it at that. <grin>

Actually I suspect it could be my virus scanner or another TSR. I
guess you could end all non-essential processes in your Task Manager
one-by-one and try to find the one causing the beep.
