Error on Office XP Update - - Help please

Hello,

I am trying to update to
Office XP Service Pack 3 - English version
And I get an error message as follows:
"The path "Microsoft Office XP Small Business' cannot be
found. Verify that you have access to this location and
try again, or try to find the installation
package 'SBERET.MSI' in a folder from which you can
install the product Microsoft Office XP Small Business."
I have tried to find this file on the original CD disk
provided for Office XP but cannot find it.

I use Windows 2000 on a standalone PC.

I have Outlook acting up and erasing all my records,
closing all of a sudden, etc, so I need to update Office
to see if everything might just run smoother.

I appreciate any help on the matter, since Microsoft would
not give me direct support since I purchased through
Dell. (And the people at Dell don't seem to be of much
help...)

I had similar problem that I can't even able to delete/un-install my Office XP. The error message was patch file not found.
I followed one of the reply by searching in Windows help for "windows installer clean up utility". There it gave me the details of what the clean up utility will do and apply.It gives me the link to down loan the clean up utility as well.
Then I install it. By running the clean up program it listed all the software evern installed via windows installer.I slected Office XP and Publisher to be removed.

After that I was able to install Office XP and Publisher from the CD Rom, followed by the update through the internet. This part is straight forward.
