Error on Startup: file(s) have been blocked by the administrator

Hi All

I am getting the following error when I try to startup Project Server for
the first time : The following file(s) have been blocked by the
administrator: /ProjectServer/Admin/Admin.asp

The URL is: http://localhost/ProjectServer/Admin/Admin.asp

I have found a thread that fixes this by Gary L. Chefetz and read the forum
as well. He recommends the following actions:

Open SharePoint Central Administration
Select Manage Virtual Server Settings
Select your site
Select Define Managed Paths

However, when I open SharePoint Central Administration I do not see any
options for Manage Virtual Server Settings.

What am I doing wrong...? I feel I am very close to having my standalone
instance up and running.

Thanks in advance to all who respond!

Hi Gary

I think you might have a point. But IIS 6.0 is working. Oddly my profile
became corrupt and I could no longer get into the machine, so I've flattened
the PC and will start again. Have decided to get a trial version of SQL 2000
as I'm using SharePoint 2003.

This might make things easy (fingers crossed).

Thanks for responding!

Hey Gary

Thanks for responding... Not sure what you mean by "enabling this
explicitly" as IIS is running... Can you please clarify, whilst appreciating
your a busy guy have a day job!

Hardip:

This is something you would have done when running the Configure your Server
Wizard in Windows Server Release 2, or separately if you are running Windows
Server R1. In the Management Console, expand IIS and select the Web Service
Extensions folder.

Hey Gary

Correct, I enabled (or allowed) this service in IIS. It was enabled by
default and I am running Windows Server 2003 (R2)...

Thanks for the clarification... I appreciate it :)

Cheers - H
