I have links to several mde's sitting on our intranet site
(the mde's are in a folder on the web server). When
opening the files using Access 2000, there are no
problems. When opening the files using Access 2002, I get
the following error:
Microsoft Access cannot open this file.
This file is located outside your intranet or on an
untrusted site. Microsoft Access will not open the file
due to potential security problems.
To open the file, copy it to your machine or an accessible
network location.
I have added both the web server address and the mde file
location to the trusted sites on our intranet settings,
but this has not resolved this problem.
Any ideas why 2000 is different than 2002, and what I can
do to resolve this? We do not want employees saving the
mde's locally, so it is imperative that they be able to
open the files.
