Error opening any Office 2000 program

I get the following fatal error whenever I open Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FrontPage, or the Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar

"This application must be installed to run. Please run Setup from the location where you originally installed the application.

This appears, either immediately or a few seconds after opening any of the applications listed above. After clicking OK, the application closes

I have Office 2000 Premium running on an XP Pro HP Pavilion notebook. Here's the strange part: I only get this error from my User Account. If I log in using my girlfriend's User Account, it works fine. I have tried repairing the installation, but have had no luck. Could this be a registry error? Am I really going to have to uninstall Office and do a clean reinstall to fix this ANY SUGGESTIONS OR IDEAS ARE WELCOME
