Error opening .doc attached file in messages

Hi all! Sorry in advance for my English!
Outlook 2000 (its office is SP3 and all patches). In a very short time
(today run, tomorrow not) the application doesn't open attached file with
..Doc extension. Windows shows a window ask me if I want open the attach or if
I want to save it. In both cases i can't see the attach: in the first case
(open file selected) Windows shows me the content of the system32 folder; in
the second case (save file selected) Windows tell me he can't save the URL in
a file.
System is equipped with SAV 10.00 client. The strange is that this behavior
happens suddenly without a reason apparently.
Uninstall and reinstall of Office (in both mode: repair or reinstall)
haven't effect.
What can I check, see or modify?
Thank to all.

To what location are you trying to store it?
See if clearing your SecureTemp folder makes a difference.
See http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/securetemp.htm

If you send another Word document yourself, does it work then?

Additionally disable your virus scanner's integration with Outlook and
possibly other Office applications and try again.

Thank you Roady.

To what location are you trying to store it?
On a net share on the server. But I can't store on the same outlook PC

If you send another Word document yourself, does it work then?
Yes, .rtf, .txt and others formats work properly
Additionally disable your virus scanner's integration with Outlook and
possibly other Office applications and try again.
I try this but virus scanner's (SAV 10) is installed on PC from a long time.
Outlook worked properly with it. The problem arose overnight without a
specific reason

Thank you a lot Roady. I read your how-to and I discover the PC we are
talking about haven't a registry key named OutlookSecureTempFolder. Browsing
folders I discover windows doesn't show sub folders of ...Temporary Internet
Files... too.
From a dos windows I browsed until ...Temporary Internet Files... and
executed dir command: there was a folder named OLK102. It's dimension was
about 70 MB and all files were RO type. I removed the attribute with attrib
-r and then I deleted all files. Then I create a key registry with the right
path.
When I tried to open a .doc file it's opened properly.
Urrah! Urrah! Urrah! Urrah! Urrah! Urrah! Urrah! Urrah! Urrah!

Thanks a lot of lots to Roady again and again

Just a little last thing: why mistake occurred about .doc file attached only?
Others files worked properly although the OutlookSecureTempFolder wasn't
mapped.
