I was recently forced to re-install my Win 2000
Professional operating system on my computer. The re-
installation appears successful except that Office 2000
Professional no longer runs.
When I try to run any Office app, I get the following
cryptic message:
"Error opening installation log file. Verify that the
specified log file location exists and is writable."
I then tried re-installing Office, but re-running setup
gives the exact same error message.
I then tried removing Office through the Windows
Add/Remove Programs, but removing it results again in the
same cryptic error message!
Where is the "installation log file", and how can I get
out of this bind?
Thanks for any help.
