error opening jpg format on outlook 2003

I had this problem opening photo (jpg format) recently. A frind of mine sent
me several photos thru my outlook 2003. when i opened the attached photo
there was an error saying "drawing failed".

I'm using Windows XP Prof - SP2 and Outlook 2003 - SP1.

Can anyone help me with this?? Maybe this is because of firewall or something.
