Error opening up Proj 2002 file in Proj 2003

Created a Project 2002 file with about 140 tasks. Opens up
fine when using Proj 2002.

Another user tries to open it using Project 2003 gets the
following error...

"The operation cannot be completed because the source file
contains invalid project data or the total number of rows
would exceed the limit of 1,048,000 rows in a project.
Validate the data in the source file, insert fewer rows,
delete some rows, or consider dividing your projet into
subprojects to provide more space for tasks and resources"

Clicks OK and the file opens but all the resources have
been deleted and in fact the file becomes useless to the
user since he needs to find out which tasks are assigned
to him.

MS had a KB article but its related to Password Protected
files getting corrupted. This file is not Password
Protected.

Any help will be much apprecited...

thanks

Sounds like the file has been corrupted somehow. Try opening it in 2000 and
re-saving it with a new file name.

Hi!

I use MS Project 2000. I created a MS Proj. file with approx 100 tasks. Due
to the same problem earlier, I saved the MS plan in three different (back-up)
versions.

Now I get the following error message, when I try to open the files:
"The paste operation cannot be completed

The insert or paste operation cannot be completed because the number of
total rows would exceed the limit of 1 048 000 rows in a project

Insert fewer rows, delete some rows,...."

Can someone help me out? Is there a bug, do I need an update...

Thanks...
