Error opening Word document after upgrading from Office 2k to 2k3.

I upgraded a user from Office 2000 to 2003 and installed the Office Service
Pack 2. Since then every time she opens a certain word document, she gets
some kind of template error. I did a search for payreq.dot but didn't find
anything. I sent the file to a co-worker who had Office 2000 and it opened
just fine. I even tried copying all of his templates and .dot files over to
my pc and that didn't fix the problem either. Isn't Office 2003 backwards
compatible? Here is a screenshot of the error message. Maybe one of you can
make some sense of this. Thank you.

The error would suggest a bad template in Word Startup - namely payreq.dot.
Remove it from Startup.

I was never able to find a payreq.dot. It seems to be missing. Where is
Word startup?

I found the startup folder in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\STARTUP
It is completely empty. What goes in here?

In Word, choose Tools - Options - File Locations. At the bottom of the list,
click on Startup, then click Modify. Go up one level, then right-click on
Startup and choose Properties. The location of that folder will be shown in
the General tab.
