Error openning Exc. Word doc w/Outlook

When I try to open an excel or word doc from outlook, I
receive an error. The error states that Microsoft word
needs a converter to display this file correctly. This
feature is not currently installed. Would you like to
install now, click yes, Installing: Import Converter.
Then this error pops up: Error 1706 setup cannot find the
required files.

After the I click OK, the file opens.
My question is how to fix the converter problem. What can
I do, so the attachement just opens.

Put the Office CD (where you installed Office from), in
your computer. It's looking for the converter files in the
location in which you installed Office from.
