Error P1023 datatype bit is not allowed to have index (SQL2K SP3)

I'm getting Error P1203: Column is of data type 'bit'. Data type 'bit' is
not allowed to have index on the target DBMS.
I've got Visio 2002 for Enterprise Architects SP2 and am trying to validate
database model by using Error Check otion. Database driver set up is SQL
Server with preferred version of 2000 for DDL script generation. Seems that
sql driver is not picking up new option to have bit columns indexed which was
included in SP3 (I think) of SQL Server 2000. Any ideas how to get around
this?
