I use MS Office 2000 Premium. I was deleting some files that I felt were not
important to Windows in order to make room on HD. Things like cookies,
history, Temp files, etc. Apparently, I deleted something that I should not
have deleted and had to reinstall WIN98-SE. Everything appeared to be ok
until I clicked on EXCEL icon on desktop. Window popped up telling me it
needed to be installed before it could run. I opened Windows Explorer and
looked to see if the office software was there and it is, as far as I can
tell. Anyway, I inserted the CD and clicked on START-->RUN-->BROWSE to
access the SETUP application on the CD. I then get an error that says "Patch
Package could not be opened..."
Can anyone help with this?
Thanks,
Les
