#error problems

Using Dev Ashish's website I have found a solution to a problem I have with
a form displaying #error when my subform has no records.

I have tried to implement the code using the following in the after and
before update properties of the controls with no success.

Call nnz
....
Call nnz (controlname)
......
Call nnz (controlname)

Do I need to add more code to the form module or am I trying correctly but
havent customised the global module?
