Error retrieving list of users

I'm using fp 2003 on a notebook logged into a domain server and when I
attempt to add a group in the permissions I get an error saying:

Server error: Error occurred while retrieving the list of users from the
system.

What can I do about this?

Add the users on server via the Server Extensions Admin.

After removing/Reinstalling IIS it's working.
