error saving

Hello,

I have a document that is a form and something has happened so that every time I change the text in a part of one of the forms in the document and then try to save it, WORD crashes? How do I fix this?

Forgot to mention I am using Word 2000 on XP Home with SP2. There is a considerable amount of information already in this form so cutting and pasting to a new form would be way too cumbersome.
