Error signature

I cannot open Word 2000 and get the following msg: Error
signature AppName:winword.exe AppVer:9.0.0.2717
ModName: mso9.dll ModVer: 9.0.0.2720 Offset: 0000fad5
I have tried to uninstall and re-install Office 2000. I
have deleted all Symntec Apps, and everything else that
may cause this. I am running Windows XP. HELP
