Error starting Access 97

C

Curt

Hello,

I updated from Access 97 to Access 2002. I didn't like
2002 so tried to re-install Access 97. Had problems with
the "Licensing" but fixed that. Now when I try to run
Access, I receive this error message> "System error, or
not enough memory to run Access. Close one or more
programs and try to run Access again" (paraphrased)

What can I do to use Access 97 again? All other Office 97
Pro applications opperate normally.

Thanks

Hi Curt,

Take a look at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;217353

note: for the file DAO360.dll re-register instead DAO350.dll

If that article does not work then try the following:
- Starting Access directly from msaccess.exe, not a shortcut.

- Check for valid Temp directory under the environment variables on My
Computer

- Uninstall Access, run Eraser97.exe and reinstall Access. To get
Eraser97.exe see the article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;176823

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.
