Error Starting Excel

When I start Excel I get two error messages before the
program opens:
1. In a small window labled Microsoft Visual Basic the
message is "400". Then press OK and it disappears.
2. Then a message "This worksheet is currently referenced
by another workbook and cannot be closed" After pressing
OK the program opens.
Any help in getting rid of these messages?
