error starting excel

When I try to open Excel I get this message "The application has failed to
start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may
fix this problem". I reinstalled with no luck. I have a new computer
running Vista Home Premium 64 bit and am trying to install Office Home and
Student. Word works fine.

Try doing a repair via Control Panel, Programs, Microsoft Office. If that
fails, do an un-install and re-install. Before doing either, run the Temp
File Deleter found at http://www.add-ins.com/temp_file_deleter.htm. It
insures Office does not use old temporary files from a past install.
