Hi All,
I am using Windows XP pro (oem) and Office 2007 Enterprise. I have installed
the office suite using the default option on a recent install (January) of
Windows. Windows is patched up-to-date, as is (I have tried this with and
without patching [after uninstalling and reinstalling]) Office. My PC spec
is: 3GB RAM, 600GB HD, 3700 64x AMD processor. Note: XP is installed as 32
bit.
Each time I open one of the main Office applications (Excel, Word or
Powerpoint, etc.) I get a variation of the following error in a msgbox:
Excel: "Not enough memory to run Microsoft Excel. Please close other
applications and try again.
Word: "There is not enough memory or disk space to run word."
There is plenty of both disk space and memory to run each application. I
have 2gb of RAM untouched (excluding virtual memory) and about 300gb of disk
space so this is obviously not the issue. I did come across KB article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305498 which did not help, presuming because
it relates to Office 2000.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Any help would be appreciated.
