error starting word (xp version)

I have installed office XP When I startit I get an error
message " work can not access one or more required files.
They may have been renamed, deleted, or moved. Try
reinstalling office" If you let it sit for a while you get
the activation screen. I have clicked activate later.
Office seems to run fine after that. I have tried removing,
reinstalling, and reipairing but it alway does the same
thing. Excel, power point and outlook seem to run fine.
