Hi friends,

I have a word file with visio embeds and when i try to save the file, it
gives me an error "The disk is full or too many files are open". I use word
2000, and i have 2GB of space available and i am not sure why this error is
coming up.

Any help would be appreciated

Warm regards,

Ok.. i removed the visio embeds and it is working fine.. looks like one or
more of the visio files got corrupted.. and word does not show me the right
error message..
better to convert visio files into images and embed them in word.

My experience with Vision drawings in Word is that in order to keep a
reasonable document size and minimise corruptions, it is best not to embed
Visio.

My normal procedure is to save the Visio drawing as a JPeg or PNG format to
my local HDD and then in Word use Insert, Picture. Although this means you
cannot double-click to launch Visio and edit the document, the document size
is dramatically reduced if you are adding more than just one of two
drawings.

Yes, I agree.. the best way to handle such situations is through placing them
as objects. :)
